Strategies to Achieve and Implement the Vision and Mission of the Prince George Hospice Society Over the Next 5 Years.

The following six strategies were developed to achieve the Vision and Mission of the Prince George Hospice Society. These strategies provide direction to the Executive Director, staff, and volunteers of the Prince George Hospice Society to move forward with the priorities over the next 5 years.

Strategic Goal #1 Establish a Fund Development Strategy for Ongoing Sustainability

The purpose of this strategic goal is to enable the Prince George Hospice Society to reduce reliance on event driven fundraising. This will allow increased focus and energy to be placed on expanding, improving, and delivering hospice services.

 

Strategic Goal #2 Expand Hospice Services Provided in the Community

To fulfill the mission and vision of the Prince George Hospice Society, the availability of Hospice services in the community must be expanded.

 

Strategic Goal #3 Increase Proportion of Sustainable Guaranteed Funding

The purpose of this strategic goal is to enable the Prince George Hospice Society to increase the proportion of secured annual funding and reduce level of financial risk.

 

Strategic Goal #4 Develop and Implement a Communication Plan

The purpose of this strategic goal is to enable the Prince George Hospice Society to improve communication with stakeholders to support initiatives and improve hospice care.

 

Strategic Goal #5 Meet Compliance Requirements by Imagine Canada Standards Program for Canada’s Charities and Nonprofits by December 2019

The purpose of this strategic goal is to enable the Prince George Hospice Society to implement best practices as described in the Imagine Canada Standards Program for Canada’s Charities and Nonprofits. This strategy will support the Prince George Hospice Society to enhance governance, credibility, transparency, and effectiveness in key areas including: board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, staff management and volunteer involvement.

 

Strategic Goal #6 Implement an Accountability Management System

The purpose of this strategic goal is to enable the Prince George Hospice Society to ensure resources are available to support employee success to perform their duties and responsibilities. Success and support of employees in a high performance environment will lead to provision of excellence in hospice care for persons, families, and the community.
