The Value of Our Hospice Thrift Store.
There seem to be hundreds of reasons to shop at the Prince George Hospice Resale store, but I will tell just three. First, 100% of the proceeds support our Prince George Hospice Society; The Prince George Hospice Society relies on the generosity of the community to provide our compassionate care. Only a small portion of our funding comes from Northern Health, and the remainder comes from our community. We want to thank everyone that has donated the Resale store as it helps support our compassionate care at the Hospice House. You can support us even more by shopping there too!
Second, you can save money! Those who are financially savvy often shop at thrift stores and resale shops to buy high-quality products at a fraction of the price. Often people are donating items that have only been lightly used or brand new. We ask people to donate the items that they would feel happy giving to a friend. It is also a great idea to buy the items that you suspect will not last very long anyway, like the clothing you send your kids with to summer camp with or the pieces you may only use once for a special event.
Third, the resale store is genuinely filled with hidden treasures. It is a great opportunity to find pieces to complete your china set, collect crystal, find a valuable painting, an expensive watch or some other hidden gem within the everyday items. It is a great place to start your DIY journey, whether it is updating your closet or creating the next project you can turn something used into your new treasure.
