Grief Support Groups
The Prince George Hospice Society provides a range of support services as each grief journey is individual and unique.
Rainbows – Children and Youth
Rainbows is an international 13-week program for children who are grieving due to:
- Death
- Divorce
- Separation
- Abandonment
We offer Rainbows groups for children and youth ages 5 to 21. Rainbows starts in January and September each year.
This program is free of charge.
Broken Circle – Adults
Broken Circle is a 10-week support group for adults (19 and up) who are grieving the death of a loved one. Learn what to expect and skills to manage your grief while talking with others who are on a similar journey.
The cost is $25.00. Please allow 3 months between the time of your loss and joining the group.
Support Volunteers
Our trained volunteers provide one-to one support for adults who are grieving the death of someone close.
Support includes listening in a non-judgmental way, assistance in understanding the grief journey, providing grief information and materials, and assistance in locating local resources to further assist you.
This program is free of charge.
